Ignition Project Manager

Leading physical theatre company, Frantic Assembly is seeking to appoint an experienced project manager to support the delivery of Ignition in Plymouth in June 2010.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the company to develop new ways of increasing young men’s involvement in the arts.  The ideal candidate will be a bright, creative thinker with a proven track record of working with young people in the arts.

The Ignition Project Manager will work with the General Manager and Artistic Directors to set up and manage Ignition Plymouth, in partnership with Plymouth Theatre Royal from April – June 2010. 

The successful applicant will be required to work from Frantic Assembly’s London office, but should also be prepared to spend roughly 6 working days in Plymouth.  The fee will cover 35 days towards the project (usually 3 days per week). 

Applicants must hold a current CRB.

Fee: £3,500

Application deadline:  5pm on 12th March 2010

Interviews will be held in London on:  24th March 2010 

The Ignition Project manager will be required to begin work on: 6th April 2010

Chair

Frantic Assembly invites applications for a new Chair of the board to succeed Jane McMorrow. Jane has served in the post since the Board’s formation in 2005. This is an exciting opportunity to support the company during its next phase of development as they embark upon an ambitious artistic programme. Frantic Assembly requires a dynamic individual with the skills and contacts necessary to act as an advocate for the company and champion the Artistic Directors’ vision. Excellent communication skills and a passion for the performing arts are essential.

 

Trustee (Creative Learning & Training focus)

Frantic Assembly operates an extensive Creative Learning & Training Programme introducing 5,000 participants a year to the company’s process of creating theatre, in a wide variety of settings. Frantic Assembly has recently launched Ignition, an innovative programme developing new ways of increasing young men’s involvement in the arts. In expanding its current board Frantic Assembly is keen to appoint a new Trustee with first-hand experience of working with young people in the arts. This may have been gained in a dance or theatre environment, in a professional or non-professional context and as a practitioner, teacher or arts manager.
